Jason de Caires Taylor is credited with creating the first underwater sculpture park. His sculptures are said to represent artificial reefs and the relationship between modern art and the environment, making us aware of the delicate nature of the natural world and the need to protect it.
The sculpture park was launched in 2006 in the shallow waters of Grenada, where divers, snorkelers and visitors in glass-bottomed boats are invited to discover its beauty.
Since its inception, the artist has received international acclaim. Which reminds us that a unique perspective in one’s personal vision can go far. What’s your creative move? I’m thinking of doing an installation on the moon.
