Today in our Brooklyn romp — Karl and I were lucky enough to run smack into Sunday Love — where we bought a magnificent painting for $75. We were told that the artist was unknown, the subject was an Italian actress and the consignor was Norah Jones’s guitar player. Although we found all of that interesting — we loved it without explanation.
The rest of the shop is beautifully curated by the three artist owners. It was our fave pick of a long afternoon of treasure hunting and so chock full of great stuff — we’ll be doing another post about it early next week.
But for now — behold our new painting above — and take in this self describing info from Sunday Love’s website.
Great new stuff moves through Sunday Love constantly!
The workspace is divided by a wall of glass windows (from old brownstones) for customers’ viewing pleasure. This is where pieces of discarded furniture are transformed into new funky, works of functional art.
Custom designs and refurbished pieces are a often a collaboration between the customer and Sunday Love. We require a deposit to begin a project.
Straight-up vintage resale items include clothing, electronics (radios, record players etc.) housewares and furniture.
Visit Sunday Love at 624 Grand Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
