A museum store with a design school twist — risd|works — everything developed or designed is by RISD alumni and students with profits returned to Rhode Island School of Design for use in furthering its mission. Two of our favorites — Denyse Schmidt and Fred and Friends. Denyse Schmidt is a local resident of Bridgeport and her studio is located at the American Fabrics Building. Jason Amendolara is the Design Director at Fred. We met Jason last week at the RISD industrial design portfolio review.
