Outside Art | Street Expressionism

by Karl on February 9, 2010

Graffiti has evolved over recent years — from political activists making a stand in the 60s to gang members tagging their turf. Hugo Martinez founded the United Graffiti Artists (UGA) in 1972. UGA consisted of many top graffiti artists of the time.

From SanFrancisco, Philadelphia, New York City and Miami, the new Expressionism has informed me of street beauty that many mistake as vandalism. With can-in-hand and no “Command Z” — plus the fear of arrest — many of these artists remain unknown.

At the turn of the century Expressionism defined this period of style — Street Expressionism tags the now. Get the full picture and worldwide insight at Modern Graffiti.

OK so AddThis doesn’t work on GraffitiCreator.net. So… I guess you’ll just have to take my word that what I created and tried to link to was really cool. :D
