One is Not The Loneliest Number

SelfMarketingNeverStops

The days of cold calling are long gone — we tune out and hang up. Direct mail — circular file.

Social media has improved our thirst for professional voyeurism.Tapping into this network and marketing angle is a mystery to many.

My advice is, give it a go. Map out four industry specific venues over a two-month period and prioritize your mission. Target — one major contact. Goal — self-marketing. Showing up is half the battle.

Practice your elevator pitch. 30 seconds or 130 words, better edit — clear concise communication.

One is better than none.

First question I would ask is WHO do you want to talk to? Every media (or channel) has it’s place. Even the popular social media’s each skew towards a dominant target audience demographic. Consider who you’re target audience is and what communication channel, method, style, tone, language, etc that they prefer to be ‘spoken to’ with.
