I stumbled upon Wahahafactory on IdN World. I was first drawn to the image featured — the Juicy Acorn earrings — which received IdN’s pick-of-the-month status. They had SQUIRRELS on them. But when I dug a little deeper — I found an extraordinarily talented person who doesn’t just make squirrel earrings and other jewelry — she is an illustrator, designer and creative makeup expert merging art and fashion in Hong Kong, China.
According to the website:
Wahahafactory is an international multi-media creation unit and was established in 2006. Our aim is to provide love and happiness to our partner and reader through creative work. And there is also an deeper meaning with Wahahafactory. We would like to work out some funny and inspiring work, thus to make Wahahafactory the most creative workshop.
How charming and wonderful is that?
Wahahafactory appears to be a one-woman show, founded by “maysum” who is chief brand manager and creative director. Wahahafactory’s clients include Disney and Vivienne Westwood — now that’s diversity!
