Above is a scan of an actual Polaroid from 1984. Note the fingerprints and lack of uniform beauty that the new digital Polaroid frames sport.
I was commissioned to do this piece for a Beverly Hills Gallery when I was 22 and had developed a large portfolio of original character designs on small scraps of paper. It was the first time I’d painted with Rustoleum. I was later commissioned to paint dumpsters at other LA galleries, plus stainless steel garbage cans for those gallery’s collectors.
