IMG_4242IMG_4265IMG_4276IMG_4296IMG_4259 I met Greg Haberny years ago when we were both in the same show. An alternative space installation dealio. His worked shined. Gritty messages embedded in the obstructed cute. For me, it had the addictive appeal of a candy store window while keeping me interested with profound intellect in its messaging.

Greg sees the world like it is and states his vision in unique, striking ways, reminding us to be wary of our malaise and complacency. Powerful stuff. Visually arresting tongue-in-cheek jewels which transfix. In Greg’s Fountain Art Fair installation, these messages bombard us by the dozens — as every inch of his space was crammed with a dizzying array of his work — creating a marvelous buzz for the visitor while importing the impinging statements they dish out to explode in one’s mind. Greg reminds us of the dangers and darkness that lie beneath the superficial. Extremely refreshing. The pro of the con.
