I took this photo from my car on the highway the other day. It’s the funniest example of local advertising I’ve seen in a long time. Not only is Elvis the King of the side of Vinny’s Deli truck — his flat image is playing a real guitar. I’m not sure if they velcro it on — or if it’s permanently affixed but it sure gets your attention going 65MPH down the interstate. I also like the fact that the company info on the back of the van is turned upside down. Not sure if it was a prankster who flipped the magnet — or intentional. Vinny — the King of Roast Beef!

What’s the best example of small business advertising you’ve seen lately? Did it give you any inspiring ideas to use on your own projects? (If you see my Mini Cooper with a taxidermy squirrel hood ornament — you’ll know I was inspired by the 3D impact of Elvis’s guitar on Vinny’s Deli truck!)
