CA_Cover_MontageCommunication Arts Interactive Annual 16 arrived in the mail yesterday, yippee!

CA is my favorite publication. Each time it arrives — I go through a ritual — often taking days to complete the read. I dive in quickly for a scan and save the deeper articles for later.

This interactive edition is more complex. The five categories include advertising, entertainment, experimental, information design and self-promotion. Reading the overviews, challenges, perspectives and credits to understand why a site or an App was a winner — and, getting the full picture online is the only way determine whether you agree the judges were accurate and the creators hit their mark.

1,958 entries, plus the addition of more mobile apps — the landscape is moving rapidly and the level of creativity and experimentation is explosive. CA gathered an impressive panel of judges to evaluate and benchmark what defines interactive today.
